Two weeks later, a little update for the custom level mod


First of all, thanks everyone for playing! It's been a joy to see everyone enjoying their selves with what I've created!

After watching some streams and hearing some complaints I made a quick patch to fix the most infuriating things. But to counter it, I made the final cassette slightly harder! People consistently took a way easier route in that one which was an oversight of me, which made that level not as exciting as a final level.

There's still that problem that you can't see items through the glass, it's an unfortunate thing within the game engine, which can possibly fixed diving into the code a bit more, but that would mean this mod isn't a small non-destructive update anymore. It's probably fixable when everyone decides to use the Fuji mod loader, but I can see in the stats only one third of the player base does.

Bee-sides v1.1 updates:

  • Made the cassette-/rhythm-block cassette less frustrating
  • Force players the intended route in the final cassette
  • Made more clear what the coins/donuts in the overworld do

I don't know if I ever go back to this mod. I've seen a lot of non intended skips, but I kinda love that. If I find any major problems in playthrough streams, I'll definitely fix it, however there's someone who beat my mod climbless! So how hard or broken could it be? Maybe if there's a lot of demand I could extend the map with 8 more berries. Let me know what you think!
